Parylene for Automotive
Kisco parylene forms a thin polymer layer on most any surface, penetrating every crevice and providing a uniform coat that is unequaled by any other coating material. Even at very thin layers, it exhibits characteristics which are valuable in today’s automobiles, where the trend is toward increasingly computerized, sensor-based analytical systems. Still, all vehicles are characterized as extreme harsh environments for complex components—most of which require more specialized barrier protection. Kisco brands (diX parylene) rise to the occasion.
Kisco Conformal Coating boasts the largest selection of parylene dimers…we manufacture three times the number available of other coating centers. Click here to see list of dimers.

Typical Automotive Applications
- Pressure sensors
- Flow sensors
- Circuit board electronics (PCBs)

- Monitoring and control systems
- LED
- Polymers (gaskets, seals)
- Battery/cell power systems
In addition to our standard parylene C and N, Kisco Conformal Coating offers an array not available anywhere else. Our proprietary brands of parylene dimers are distinguished by a long list of notable features that offer us a clear advantage. All demonstrate excellent barrier and dielectric properties as well as strong barriers against moisture and chemicals/solvents.
- Parylene SF (diX-SF) – Excellent UV and Thermal Stability (to 450 C)
- Parylene CF (diX-CF) – Excellent Thermal Stability (up to 450 C)
- Parylene SR (diX-SR) – MilSpec, faster deposition rates, barrier properties as good as diX-C (with higher heat tolerance)
- Parylene HR (diX-HR) – Thermal stability, characteristics similar to diX-C for barrier and mechanical resistance.
